Peter G. Franzis | Founder

Peter was born and raised in York, 

PA.  He was active with his church and graduated with honors from Dover 

Area High School in 1987.  Peter attended Bentley University in 

Waltham, MA.  He was a founding 

member of the Debate Team and member of the Student Union, Model United Nations and Poetry Club. 

Peter served in the United States 

Marine Corps Reserve from 1987 – 1994.

 He received an Honorable Discharge, service and good conduct medals.  

Peter lived in the Boston, MA area 

after college.  He managed 

several award winning restaurants 

before moving back to York, PA in 2006 

to support his parents.

Peter had a successful career in the 

mortgage industry prior to starting 

Franzis Insurance Services Group.  He obtained his insurance licenses in 

2013 to help his mother.   She had questions about her options 

and he couldn't find anyone to provide 

the answers so he took care of it 

himself.  His business has grown by 

word of mouth and today he has over 

a thousand clients. 

Peter enjoys helping his clients and 

their families plan for the future.  He 

is an avid cross trainer and martial artist. 

Peter likes to spend time with family 

and friends, cook, collect books 

and travel.  Peter volunteers time 

to local organizations and is

 active in his community.  He 

is a member of local, national and international professional organizations.

Shannon Grady | Client Coordinator

 Shannon grew up in Shillington, PA graduating from Governor Mifflin High School.  After high school, Shannon attended Community College of Philadelphia, earning an Associate’s Degree before transferring to Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C.  

She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008 and began her career as a Sign Language Interpreter in the nation’s capitol.  After living in Washington, D.C., Shannon moved back to PA to be closer to family, settling in the small town of Mount Wolf.  Upon moving, Shannon was open to a career change. She obtained her insurance license in 2013.  

Shannon enjoys spending time with her family, walking local trails, reading, attending concerts and anything outdoors.  She is very active with her 3 children and husband, along with her 3 dogs.  Shannon also enjoys volunteering her time with local organizations and staying involved in the community.

Shannon has a passion for serving clients and their families.  She takes pride in empowering them with knowledge and choices, providing support along the way.   Her professional journey has been shaped by all of the families she’s met and her continuous commitment to them.
